Genesis Investment Management's workplace was a mix of small cellular offices and open plan areas spread over three floors. The company wanted to improve communications between areas and make the entire space feel lighter. With this in mind, our job was to refurbish and update the existing boardroom, meeting rooms and offices.
The JAS Works approach
Cellular offices were positioned around each floor's perimeter, so we introduced natural light to the central open plan space by installing soundproof double glazed glass partitions. We immediately improved visual communications between office areas by mounting glass doors and we made sure that any solid screening around equipment was low enough for colleagues to see and communicate with each other.
Project Completion
Our transparent approach brought lots more natural light to all areas and significantly transformed the feel of the office. Genesis staff love the new sense of light, space and openness, and agree that the effectiveness of space and communications is drastically improved |
