Bases were branching out. Rapid expansion meant they were flying the nest of parent company AC Nielsen and creating an identity of their own. Moving from a dark segregated workplace into a light open plan was one thing. But their new building didn't say "Bases" yet.
The JAS Works approach
A company that provides consumer insight to help other companies establish brands needs a powerful brand image to set the example. We took advantage of an imposingly high atrium and contrasted its airy neutrality with bright red seating and strong Bases signage to give a striking impression of what the agency is about - bold, forward thinking and business like. The entire office is blessed with good natural light, which we enhanced with lots of glass, sleek furniture and a splash of colour. We concentrated our budget on a large breakout space, designed to double up as AV-equipped conference room when needed. We also built informal meeting areas and a brainstorm think tank, a Bases "fish tank", where people could step away from their desks and share ideas.
Project Completion
Staff was completely taken aback with their new space. They love it. Now they have a company identity of their own, and one of which they're truly proud. |
